My avian obsession

So…I like birds. Not to the point that I’m out with binoculars but still…I think they’re pretty. If you’ve been through my portfolio you have probably noticed this interest. It started in college while doing my printmaking minor. Using fables and myths was my way of incorporating my major (illustration) into my prints. And birds were just visually pleasing to me and gave me a focus.

The Crow Show

I was recently told about a gallery show about crows. The Crow Show: Homage to the Raven is an international exhibition at The Studio Door in San Diego from February 6-28th, 2015. They’re accepting submissions for the physical gallery as well as an online gallery.

This thing is right up my alley. I’m really excited to make something for the show. Hopefully whatever I submit will be selected. But that’s basically what I’m working on artistically right now until the end of November.
