Queen sketches

One part of being more productive this year is going back to best practices. And that’s having a set process: thumbnails > sketches > color studies (although I haven’t done this too much) > finished work. All the artwork I’ve done that I have really liked and feel were successful followed this process.

On that note here are my initial thumbnails and background pattern ideas.

I want to do at least five of these. But the compositions for the last two are being a little elusive. I didn’t want to let these languish while I think about the next ones.
